Kylie Minogue has arrived in Sydney to officially kick off her year long K25 celebrations and fronted up last night at a VIP party at the Sheraton on the Park in the lead up to her performance at the Mardi Gra party this Saturday night (March 3rd).
Looking stunning in a red lace Dolce & Gabbana dress and sparkly silver heels, Saturday night will be Kylie’s first appearance at Mardi Gras in 14 years. Also seen at the soiree were Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and Aussie performer Sam Sparro and Dannii Minogue also popping in after doing a book signing and US drag queen Ru Paul.
Since arriving earlier this week Kylie has been rehearsing her post-parade performance in town this week with a troupe of dancers from her Aphrodite: Les Folie tour, with a 20-minute medley planned for the Hordern Pavilion event.
“It’s going to go by in a flash, because the show will be a pretty fast-paced 20 minutes of goodness,” Minogue told Sydney gay and lesbian magazine the Star Observer this week.
“It was really hard to choose what to do in that 20 minutes, because I can’t do everything.
“I’m sure there’s going to be some people saying ‘why didn’t she do this’ or ‘why didn’t she do that’.
“But it’s a celebration; I could go there and sing everyone’s name in the hall, and we’d still have a good time. (via)
