A Very Girlie Afternoon: High Tea Time at The Loft

| 3 April , 2012 | Reply

It\’s no secret that high teas are very much in fashion at the moment. In fact, us ladies have been donning our party dresses and gathering to gossip over tea and scones since our grandmothers\’ grandmothers\’ grandmothers can remember.

But what you might not know is that The Loft in Sydney – a trendy habour side bar by night – puts on a wonderful High Tea during the day. Located on the stunning King Street Wharf you can sample some sweeties or sip on some tea whilst looking out onto the glistening water front.

The Loft\’s High Tea menu includes a generous three tiered platter complete with devonshire egg and cucumber finger sandwiches, smoked salmon bagels with caper, lemon and dill creme fraiche, roast turkey, brie and cranberry brioche rolls and mini chicken and leek quiches.

For those of you with a sweet tooth you can get your fix on The Loft\’s delicious freshly baked scones with jam and orange blossom cream chantilly along with mini cupcakes, Portuguese tarts and the stand out by far, their gorgeous petite creme brulees.

There is also a tea infused cocktail and mocktail and of course it wouldn\’t be high tea without the tea! The Loft provide a great selection of rich, fragrant and exotic teas including Blue Mountain, Madagascan Vanilla, Buddha\’s Tears, Chai and the beautifully pink-coloured Strawberries and Cream.

We were in sweet-love heaven, seriously, heaven!

With super helpful and friendly wait staff, gorgeous views and more food than most people can manage, high tea at The Loft is well worth getting your girls to for a fabulously delicious experience.

Visit The Loft’s website for more information and bookings.

We were special guests of The Loft and had such a lovely time, we cannot wait to do it again!
