Katy Perry: Part of Me, lets you party on stage with Katy Perry. Filmed during her globe crossing, California Dreams Tour, it provides a backstage, intimate look at the life of this pop music star.

When asked why she decided to have the tour documented Katy said: ‘I could instinctively feel that something important was about to happen that year—it felt like this big wave was coming, and it felt like it was going to be a long one. So, I reached out to two filmmakers and said, ‘Hi, guys, I’d like to you come on the road and document the ride.’’

Directed by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, the documentary is a fun mix of family interviews, footage of Katy as a child, and vibrant performances on stage. Together they paint a picture of the joys and hardships of being a star.

We see Katy as a young girl, struggling as she tries to find her identity and voice. The transformation from this gospel-singing child raised by evangelists, to a world famous pop star is extraordinary.

Katy’s enthusiasm will draw a smile on your face, as you watch this bright-eyed woman dazzled by her dream come true. The inspiration she gives to fans is fantastic and by the end of the documentary you will love her even more.

As only the second video from MTV that managed a family friendly rating, Katy Perry: A Part of Me is fun for fans of all ages. This documentary comes alive in 3D and the colorful, music pumping shots of Katy on stage will get you ready to dance.
