The newest addition to the Spiderman movies takes us to his origins.
If you’ve wondered how Spiderman became the superhero he is, then this is the film for you.
Before I go much further, if you have the chance to see the movie in 3D – go for it, the experience will blow you away! It’s one of the better 3D movie productions and you’ll have the time of your life!
We meet Peter Parker, aka Spiderman (Andrew Garfield) as a young boy being left with his Aunt May (Sally Field) and Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen). His parents are forced to leave him in their care, following his father making a discovery that puts his family’s lives in danger (If I say more than that I’ll give it away!)
Growing up, Peter questions who he is, as most teenagers do and tries to understand why his parents left him – his Aunt May and Uncle Ben haven’t told him much and consequently he yearns to answer these questions.
Peter makes a discovery which leads him to the path of becoming Spiderman. A path which is filled with villainy with Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) playing the evil Doctor and romance – with the sublime Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) as Peter’s love interest.
To my surprise there’s a lot of humour in the film – which goes down a treat.
This volume of the Spiderman franchise isn’t one just for the boys – Andrew Garfield is pure eye candy as Spiderman and Emma Stone’s cute wardrobe will inspire some new additions to your wardrobe.
Spiderman, may your web last for many more movies to come – because I for one have been caught by this adaptation and can’t wait to see what’s next.
