As most of your know, Antipodes is one of my favourite skincare brands (alongside Kora Organics), I use them on a daily basis so anything that Elizabeth Barbalich, Creator of Antipodes, releases I’m immediately onto. The newest two products to join her skincare range is the Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser and Apostle Skin Brightening & Tone Correcting Serum.
The Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser and Tone Correcting Serum will help your skin achieve it’s brightest complexion the natural way. Pigmentation and dull skin are common skin care complaints around the world.
The Gel Cleanser is suitable for normal and oil skin conditions and features key ingredient extracts of kiwi fruit, hibiscus flower, manuka honey and Vinanza Performance Plus (an antioxidant bursting ingredient that has been scientifically shown to specifically help brighten the skin and comes from Sauvignon Blanc Grapes) together help reduce and balance oil production. It is lightly scented with green apple and cardamom and comes in a 200mL bottle for RRP$33.
The Apostle Skin Brightening & Tone Correcting Serum is a water-based serum and also contains the key ingredient Vinanza Performance Plus (see above), is perfect for normal skin and has been dermatologically tested for sensitive skin. The high performance serum can help reduce the reddening in our skin called erythema. The Certified Organic Serum is available in a 30mL bottle for RRP$59.
Both products are brown in colour which shows Elizabeth’s dedication to keeping her products natural and organic. Although I found the cleanser to not be as effective in getting my eye make up off (I just use a cream cleanser to help remove my eye make up), the refreshing duo are a welcome relief on my skin. I’m lucky my skin is at it’s ‘highest’ brightness that it can be for my age but I use the products daily to keep it that way 🙂 Independent scientific studies in 2009 on the Vinanza Performance Plus ingredient showed a brightening effect after five days of consistent use.
