Skinnydipping is Bethenny Frankel’s very first novel – and I sincerely hope it isn’t her last.
On the day of her college graduation, Faith Brightstone says goodbye to New York and moves to LA to become an actress, and as fate would have it, she meets a producer the moment she steps onto the plane!
It’s not long before Faith has everything she ever wanted – a job on a TV show, a Malibu beach house and one hot boyfriend with money and power. Only, her job is as a production assistant, she is house sitting the Malibu beach house for her boss and her boyfriend turns out to be kind of a jerk. Finally, Faith packs up her suitcase, her dog Muffin and the lessons LA has taught her and goes back to New York.
Fast forward five years and Faith lands a spot on reality TV show, Domestic Goddess hosted by her idol Sybil Hunter. Faith and her outspoken personality are not well received by Sybil and things only get worse when Faith realises the new man in her life, Harris, is Sybil’s son!
The final chapters were so exciting I found it impossible to put the book down. Faith’s character seems largely based on Bethenny Frankel herself and I found myself laughing out loud at Faith’s witty and outspoken remarks.
Skinnydipping is a story about looking for love, following your dreams and most importantly, it’s about finding yourself.
