Jessica Hart has joined MAMBO as their latest MAMBO Goddess alongside best friend Jessica Gomes for their Summer 2012 campaign as photographed in Los Angeles by photographer Jason Ierace, styled by Imogene Barron and hair and make up by Rae Morris.
Jessica shared in a statement her excitement:
“I am so excited to be collaborating with one of Australia’s most iconic brands and am more excited that I will be sharing the spotlight with one of my besties, Jessica Gomes. I’ve always loved the attitude, style and hedonism of Mambo and am incredibly proud to be one of their Goddesses,” says Hart.
This season, the Goddess range offers three distinct fashion stories this season– TROPICANA, AQUAEOUS, and TRIBAL ILLUSIONS:
TROPICANA is a vintage inspired play on the season’s tropical trends, where destination resort prints tell a story of exotic trips away. Jade green and softer aqua blues in the “Palms”, “Miami” and “Life’s a Beach” prints have been created on shiny lycra to give it pop. The new styles, such as the feminine balconette bra, and one piece are representative of the glamorous 50’s pin-up girl.
AQUEOUS tells a tale of a dream-like state of mind. The “Shell”, “Etherial” and “Beach Shards” prints mimic the iridescence of the ocean, playing on the light and effects of reflections in the water. The folds and twists of the fabric were designed to give a sense of being wrapped up, and submerged in water, and the feminine colour palette adds to the softness of the look.
TRIBAL ILLUSIONS plays on the edgy side of the mambo goddess girl, with the scratchy nature of the print hinting at the notion of being in the wild. The knot detailing along with the multi strap detail sits well with the “Cross Hatch” print creating new lines on the body, working positive and negative spaces on the skin.
The Mambo Goddess collection is priced from $39.95 for a set to $59.95 and will be available in MYER, selected surf stores and surfstitch.com this month.
