From life as a young girl in Colombia to the life of an assassin in Chicago, Cataleya grows up quick. When her parents are murdered, nine-year-old Cataleya flees to her uncle in Chicago and asks him a simple question, ‘I want to be a killer, can you help?’
Cataleya (Zoe Saldana) develops into an adept assassin, bent on seeking revenge from the killers of her parents. She makes good progress, taking out many members of the cartel, but a selfish habit of tagging her victims catches up with her, bringing trouble her way – and to those she loves.
Gunfire, explosions, and a beautiful killer – this is a film the boys will love. If you’re looking for a flick to share with your guy on a Friday night, get the popcorn and settle in for some ass kicking.
It is an action flick, so ignoring the logistical errors, overtly sexy firing pose, and disorienting quick shots in the final showdown, you’ll find a fun film with FBI agents, hefty villains, a cute boyfriend, and a sexy woman with a good firing arm that brings them all together.
Duck for cover, Cataleya has you in her sights. Colombiana, available now on DVD (RRP$39.95) and BLU-RAY (RRP$49.95).
PS – we know this is an old but we forgot to review it earlier and are big fans of Zoe Saldana.
