Celebrations continued for 50 years of fabulous Fashions on the Field at one of Melbourne’s most anticipated events, the Flemington Spring Fashion Lunch yesterterday (Thursday 6 September) headlined by Myer Ambassadors Rebecca Judd and Kris Smith.
Hosted by Channel Seven’s Matt White from Today Tonight and Kylie Gillies from The Morning Show, the event featured interviews with special guests Myer FOTF Ambassador, Alison Saville, Margaret Morley (1962 Most Elegant Hat Winner) and Anne Freeman (2000 Millinery Award Winner), sharing a rare insight into Australia’s largest outdoor and most prestigious fashion event.
In fitting with the festivities, cast members of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Tony Award winning South Pacific – Lisa McCune as Nellie and Teddy Tahu Rhodes as Emile, thrilled the room with exclusive performances of memorable 1950’s tunes.
On the catwalk, Myer showcased the key looks for spring racing and guests had the unique opportunity to preview the latest styles by leading Australian designers Aurelio Costarella, Toni Maticevski, Arthur Galan AG, Ellery, Dom Bagnato and more.
