It says it on the cover: “Why You’re Not Married…Yet is a book about finding you”.
The author, Tracy McMillan, has been married (and divorced) three times. Unfortunately, it appears that Tracy is not an expert at staying married (though I suspect there will be another book for that), however her three marriages have taught Tracy a lot about getting married – the type of men that want to get married and even more so, the type of women they want to marry.
While that sounds eye-roll worthy (it does, I know!), Tracy’s humour and ‘tell it like it is’ nature keep the book light and entertaining. Whether you are single, engaged or married, with ten chapters such as “You’re Shallow”, “You’re Selfish” and “You Hate Yourself”, there is (at least one) chapter in this book that every woman will be able to relate to, in one way or another.
Despite being engaged and planning a wedding for next August, I really enjoyed Why You’re Not Married…Yet and I look forward to reading Tracy’s second book, I Love You and I’m Leaving You Anyway.
