This is an exciting feel-good dance movie and I totally love them! You have a mixture of drama, great music and of course, a little romance. The film classically starts with a dance off between groups, an announcement was made if anyone dared to challenge the winners ‘Invincibles’ to a dance off. Popcorn boy Ash (Hentschel) takes the stage with a routine to only fall on his back. After suffering humiliation by the crew Invincibles, street dancer Ash looks to gather the best dancers from around the Europe to create his own crew for a rematch.
To beat the world’s best dance crew at a dance-off in Paris, France, street dancer Ash and new friend and manager, Eddie (George Sampson), travel around Europe to gather the greatest street dancers, whilst hoping to add a Latin element of salsa dancer Eva (Sofia Boutella).
It turns out to be a combination of Samba, Tango and Salsa all mixed in with street dance, definitely a challenge and an interesting one. Ash’s group have to learn all the dances from scratch to have a chance of winning the European Dance competition.
Although the acting wasn’t up to par, Street Dance 2 is really enjoyable film, a great story line and really awesome dancing and music that kept our feet tapping throughout.
Street meets Latin flavour, a definite exotic twist – that promotes the film!
