Collette Dinnigan Collaborates with The Australian Ballet for her next “Designers for Target” Collection
Target have announced their newest designer collaboration with Collette Dinnigan for The Australian Ballet and it’s adorable beyond words. The stunning collection features ballet inspired party wear for girls including tutus, boleros and a ballet bag to celebrate The Australian Ballet’s 50th Anniversary.
Ten percent of every item sold will be donated to the support The Australian Ballet’s education programs, giving more children across Australia the chance to experience dance and the value it offers in learning, artistic expression, health and recreation. Dinnigan shares on the collaboration:
“I have a longstanding relationship with The Australian Ballet, designing for them in the past; this is a very special project, celebrating The Australian Ballet’s 50th Anniversary and this is my gift to them and their education program.”
Dinngan cites her inspiration:
“Through the innocent eyes of a young girl’s fantasy of playing dress ups from her grandma’s vintage trunk. It is the romance of a little girl’s dream to be a ballerina, to dance, to dress up in a tutu and role play. The collection reflects the love of all things ethereal.
The Collette Dinnigan for The Australian Ballet at Target collection features the cutest advertising campaign shot in Melbourne by renowned fashion photographer Jez Smith and features The Australian Ballet principal dancer, Madeleine Eastoe.
The collection will be ranged in sizes 3 to 8 and priced between $19 and $59 with pieces available in 100 Target stores nationwide and online at www.target.com.au, from November 21st.
