Here we are again, at the end of another year that continues to feel like it just flies right past us. I thought I would be launching my new business concept this year but I decided it wasn’t what I was really passionate about anymore so 2012 has seen me start to wind down even more. After seven years being online, 2013 will see many new things for me and I truly am excited them. Sassi Sam will continue to slow down, it’s no longer my primary focus, I’ve changed and I need to do different things in my life now and I feel really good about the changes and where I’m headed. And I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve achieved here, incredibly proud, it’s been a long hard journey but lots of fun too of course.
2012 was the year of Sam, the person behind Sassi Sam, I moved states away from Sydney for a quieter life, I’ve been focusing on my health and wellbeing and really coming back to my authentic self and I’m here, it feels awesome and that’s why 2013 will be very different for me.
I don’t know exactly what 2013 will hold for me, but I have lots ideas and as per every year, I’m heading off to work on my 2012 Gratitude List and my 2013 Intention List so that 2013 is even better than this year.
Thank you for continuing on this amazing journey with me, you are all on my gratitude list, right at the top because I wouldn’t be where I am right now without you.
To start with 2013 isn’t going to feel that different to 2012, with the main themes that will shape 2013 already locked into place and the other really big shift not coming into play until mid year. The themes already in play are likely to be financial matters, with 2013 an extremely big year on the financial front, especially when it comes to taking your power back and also on the communication front, especially when it comes to communication on the relationship front. However, one of the major movers and shakers of 2013 won’t come into play until June and it’s on the home, family and/or property fronts that this will make its presence felt. From as early as the 31st May and for the majority of June you’re likely to find that your mind is more focused on home and family matters, with a lot of ideas and conversations flying and a period where you’re looking at your options. There is nothing unusual in that, especially as this is usually the case in the middle months of each year. What is different this year is that on the 26th June lucky Jupiter will return to your home and family sector, kicking off your luckiest 12 months on the home, family and/or property fronts in 12 years, stretching out to July 2014. 2013 is also a year where you’re able to find a good balance between work and play, with just enough planetary support on both fronts. For the first time since 1994 you’ll move into the New Year with the Moon in a romantic, creative and playful part of your chart, with any sentiments or intentions this evokes cemented by a Full Moon on the 27th January. The best months of the year for love and all things romantic will be June, July and August, the very middle months of the year. The best months of the year for relationship matters are August, September and October, however there is something special developing over Christmas and into the first half of 2014. While you’ll begin the year with the aftermath of a frenetic end to your 2012 professional year still in play, the pace will ease back by late February. You’ll find the best opportunities and potential on the work front in August and September, with a second wave coming through from mid October to early December. Read More
The most powerful themes shaping your year are on the income and relationship fronts. While you may find it hard to believe that you have lucky Jupiter in your income sector as you move into 2013, especially after the financial tension and challenges in the later months of 2012, by the time you reach May the money gods will send out all the right reinforcements that you need to bring things home. While Jupiter will leave your income sector on the 26th June, from as early as the 10th May the planets will start returning one by one, until you reach a point where you’re ready to bring things home. While things may not be moving in the early weeks of the year, you have until the 14th July to bring things home. You’ll find that income matters get a real push from some very active professional forces in the first 2 months of the year. For the first time since 2000 you’ll move into the New Year with Mars, warrior planet of the cosmos in your career sector and while he’ll leave on the 2nd February, you’ll have planetary support to keep the momentum going long after he’s gone. This will go a long way to getting Jupiter’s influence back up to speed on the income front. It’s from the 26th June that lucky Jupiter will shift his focus to your communications, just as you’re experiencing one of your most important relationship years on record. In a year that is important for both friendship and relationship building, communication will become both more important and easier from June onwards, right through to mid 2014. In other areas of your life you’ll find the best months of the year for home, family and/or property matters are July and August, however a Full Moon on the 27th January will bring a chance to get anything stalled or stuck up to speed in the early weeks of the year. You’ll find the period from the 23rd July to the 23rd September some of the most romantic of the year, until this is dwarfed by some very romantically charged weeks, from the 16th October to the 8th December. There seems to be something special developing on the travel front later in the year, kicking off in the early days of December but stretching out to March 2014. This might be unexpected but it’s a nice surprise, so watch this space! Read More
While it might not feel like it, as you move into the New Year you’re at the halfway point in your luckiest and most expansive year in over a decade, the foundation year for a brand new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion. With Jupiter under pressure in the last few months of 2012 and in retrograde motion until the 31st January, it might feel like you’re going backwards rather than forwards. However, what you’re doing is building the foundations and down in the trenches it’s hard to appreciate just how much support you actually have. While Jupiter will turn direct at the end of January, it’s not until the planets start returning to your sign on the 10th May and your birthday month kicks off on the 21st May that everything is likely to come together. May and June are the months for believing in yourself, investing in your own future and putting everything you have into everything you do and then some, in the lead up to Jupiter’s departure on the 26th June. It’s then that Jupiter will shift his focus to your income situation, kicking off your luckiest and most expansive year on the income front in over a decade. The real power behind this is that this links in with forces that are making 2013 one of your most powerful years on the work front in decades and with the chance you have this year to start living your professional dreams and ambitions. 2013 is an exceptionally opportune year for income, work and career matters, but it’s not until Jupiter returns to your income sector on the 26th June that this will really lock into place. These are the main themes that will shape 2013, but at different times of the year other aspects will each bring their own flavour. January and February for example are full of adventure, with a chance to really challenge your excuses and whether it’s travel or study, to really expand your boundaries. The best time of year for home, family and/or property matters is the 23rd July through to the 23rd September, with a second surge from the 16th October to the 8th December. You’ll find that the love gods also have something special up their sleeves, with August and October getting the ball rolling on the romantic front, but really coming together from early December onwards, with October through to January also some special months on the relationship fronts. Don’t be surprised if you’re feeling underwhelmed by the New Year hype, with one year seeming to blur into the next without any real contrast, mainly because the future will be slow to grab your attention. You’re in the final phase of a 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion that began in 2001 and until Jupiter returns to your sign on the 26th June, kicking off your luckiest and most expansive year since then and a brand new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion, the focus is more on bringing things home and finishing what is already on the table. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up and to bring home across many aspects of your life and in your mind anyway, 2013 won’t really begin until 6 months into the year. Jupiter will return to your sign just 5 days after the Sun returns to your sign and your new solar year begins, which is when your future or your next life chapter begins. Meanwhile, while your year might get off with a lot of focus on your work situation, this is not going to be a year where work matters dominate. The early days of the month will be important for putting things on the track you want them to continue on, March and April will be good months on the career front and things will pick up again on the work front in October, but for the most part finding a balance between work and play shouldn’t be a problem. The one thing missing this year are the work/life balance challenges of the past and with Saturn spending the whole year in your romantic and creative sector, you’ll find that putting yourself and matters of the heart first are a lot easier and that you’re more willing to say ‘no’ to outside demands, more willing to put yourself first. Meanwhile, while the year begins with a lot of focus on money as for the first time since 2000 you move into the year with Mars in your financial sector and for the first time since 1994 the Moon in your income sector, this isn’t going to be a dominant theme all year. Any income opportunities or developments in January are likely to come from the hard work put in, in the final months of 2012. Meanwhile, Mars’ financial passions and fighting spirit will give you a chance to take your power back, but the focus will shift from your financial game by late February. The best months of 2013 for income matters will be the period from the 28th June to the 16th October, with most things likely to come together in the last 6 weeks. Read More
The two most powerful forces to shape any year are Jupiter and Saturn, one the planet of luck and the other the planet that gives you the determination, strength and power to move mountains if you have to, one making things happen relatively easy and the other asking more from you, but where you’re able to receive a lot of rewards in return. Saturn will not only spend the whole of 2013 in your home and family sector, he’s been here since October 2012 and won’t leave until September 2015, bringing you to one of the most powerful points in your lifetime on the home, family and/or property fronts. This is a year for building strong foundations and while Saturn usually brings challenges and asks a lot from you, there is more than enough support to ensure that you’re able to build something strong and solid, that the rest of your life can stand on. This makes 2013 an extremely important year for home, family and/or property matters. Jupiter, on the other hand, will divide his time between two very different areas of your chart. Until the 26th June Jupiter is still making his first visit to your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking in 12 years, an important and auspicious 12 months for building strong and important friendships and alliances and for being a team player. While things may be moving slow in the early weeks of the year, by May and June you’ll have reached your most important point in over a decade for personal and professional networking. Yet on the 26th June Jupiter will begin the 12 month wind down of your current Jupiter cycle, which began in 2002, in preparation for his return to your sign next July. This brings you into a more introspective phase, where it’s all about bringing things home, closing old doors and wrapping things up as you sense that one life chapter is ending and another is due to begin. However, life will go on and there’ll be little time for navel gazing. What you have on your hands this year is a much better money year, which is good news after a few challenging years. You’ll find it easy to keep your financial game on track all year, with the best income opportunities to be found in July through to September, but the real opportunities coming between the 16th October and the 8th December. Meanwhile, there is something special developing on the relationship front in the early weeks of the year, giving your relationships a boost that they’ll benefit from all year. Read More
Every year has its ever changing themes, some months that are better for professional matters than others, some better for financial or personal months than others, each having their turn at coming to the fore. But rising above that you’ll also find a central theme that either runs through the whole year or at least a large chunk of the year. For you the major theme running throughout the year is a strong partnership between communication and relationship forces, with communication likely to be both your biggest challenge but also your greatest reward this year. This is a year where you’re finally coming into your own on the relationship front, after some very challenging years, to a point where you’re moving into 2013 ready to put the past behind you, with the healing process well underway and with a lot more trust in what the future holds. This has such a strong relationship with the communication forces dominating the year, that the two have to go hand in hand. The other major theme of the year surrounds Jupiter, planet of luck and expansion, who will bring you a year of two halves. The first half of the year is more professionally dominated, with lucky Jupiter in your career sector until the 26th June, but things not really running their course until mid July, at the same time that you’re moving into the year with Mars in your work sector, for the first time in 13 years. You’re likely to have a very busy first 2 months, not easing back until late February, with May and June the months where everything is likely to come together on the career front. Yet by midyear there is a fairly dramatic shift, for as each planet moves through your career sector to help Jupiter bring things home they’ll return to your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, a more social and serendipitous part of your chart and where it’s more about personal and professional networking. With Jupiter returning here on the 26th June and staying on until July 2014 your human connections will become a lot more important. Behind these themes you have the ever changing landscape of the year, with March and April the best months for financial matters and August and September setting the scene for some exceptional developments on the income front, from December through to May 2014. Meanwhile, the love gods have a big surprise on the romantic front in the later weeks of this year and the first 3 months of 2014. Read More
As you move into 2013 the one thing you’re likely to feel is a sense of liberation, with the best thing about the year ahead less about what is here and more about what isn’t here. That missing something is Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos and for the first time since 2008 you’re moving into a year that has no sign of this demanding planet. While it’s good to be able to put the challenges of the past behind you, especially when he required so much of you both personally and on the relationship front, creating some real personal and/or relationship tension, he’s left you with the strength and authenticity to claim something real on both fronts. What you have is an exceptional year on the professional and income fronts, something that will continue to improve as the year progresses. For the first time in your lifetime you’re moving into the New Year with Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies in your work sector, for the first time in 17 years with the North Node in your income sector and for the first time since 1985 with Saturn there as well. With Jupiter, planet of luck not only returning to your career sector on the 26th June, kicking off your luckiest professional year in over a decade, but linking in with work and income forces, this is destined to be a huge year for you. Yet in the first half of the year Jupiter is in your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery, where he’s urging you to learn, explore and embrace life. This is something that may be on hold in the early weeks of the year, but the handbrake will be released when Jupiter turns direct on the 31st January, with the real potential not being realised until May and June. However, life won’t be all work and no play or as serious as things have been in the past, not if the Moon and Mars have their way. It’s unusual for the Moon, who only spends a few days in each sign and visits every area of your chart each month, to have an impact on the year as a whole, but this year it will. For the first time since 1994 you’ll move into the New Year with the Moon in a social and serendipitous part of your chart, with whatever this triggers cemented by a Full Moon on the 27th January. More than the social and serendipitous start to the year this gives you or the laws of synchronicity this triggers is the fact that the Moon will put pressure on Mars, just as the planet of passion is moving into the New Year already in a romantic and creative part of your chart, for the first time in 13 years. This will throw fuel on the romantic and creative passions Mars moves you into the year with and this is a torch that once lit won’t burn out. How you begin a year has a big impact on what you expect from the coming year and therefore on what your reality will be. Read More
While there is a lot of focus on money matters in the early days of the New Year and maybe for all the wrong reasons, despite how it feels this is actually a very auspicious money year for you. It might not feel like the money gods are on your side in the early days or that you have Jupiter, planet of luck in your financial sector, but in retrograde motion until the 31st January and still shaking from financial tensions that came to a head in the final months of 2013 there will be a turnaround. With Mercury leaving your income sector on New Year’s Day and Venus on the 9th January, focus on cementing your income expectations and a game plan in the early days, trusting that financial matters will turn around. That turnaround should begin on the 31st January when Jupiter turns direct, however it’s not until May and June, when things start coming together that you’ll recognise why you’ve had to go on the journey you’ve been on. While this will put a lot of focus on financial matters in the first half of the year and especially from the 10th May to the 14th July, after that your world is due to open up. It’s on the 26th June that Jupiter, with a flotilla of planets at his side, slightly ahead or slightly behind will return to your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery, the area of your chart that he calls home. This opens the door to one of your most exciting and adventurous 12 months in over a decade and even if you don’t travel or never study anything, life itself will become inspiring and you’ll be ready to live it to the full. You will have some surprising support for this, in the most unlikely form of Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos. After returning to your sign in October 2012 and here until 2015, Saturn will spend the whole year in your sign, giving you the strength and the confidence to claim your power back. It’s Jupiter’s return to a more adventurous part of your chart in June and Neptune’s position in a fun, romantic and creative part of your chart all year that makes this a year to really start living the life you were meant to live, with all 3 demanding that you get down from life’s spectator stands and get back onto the playing field. There are 3 main themes dominating the year, one that will remain a central theme throughout the year, one that will dominate the first half, another that will dominate the second half, with the middle months providing a cross over between the two. The underlining theme that will not only dominate this year but next year as well is Saturn’s position in an intuitive, imaginative and internally focused part of your chart, where since October 2012 he’s been on a mission to bring home a Saturn cycle that began in 1985. Saturn will return to your sign for a few months in 2014, testing the waters and returning here to process that early information, before returning to your sign for good in September 2015, to bring a brand new 30 year Saturn cycle of learning, growth and empowerment. Saturn is still in the early months of a mission to tie up loose ends, bring things home and to help you make sense of the journey you’ve been on since 1985. While this means that you’ll need more time to go within, there is little chance that you’ll navel gaze your way through the year, but you’ll soon learn when you need to pull back. The other main themes are on the relationship and financial fronts, with relationship matters dominating the first half of the year and financial matters the second, with a crossover in the middle months of the year. This is where Jupiter, planet of luck and expansion will divide his time, with his 12 month visit to your relationship sector ending on the 26th June and his 12 month visit to your financial sector beginning at the same time. With the faster moving planets rushing to Jupiter’s side at this cross over time, you’ll find that relationship matters improve the further into the year you go and especially in May and June, though you will have until Mars leaves on the 14th July to get things to where you want them to be. By then Jupiter will already be in your financial sector, as will the Sun, Mercury and Venus, while Mars is shifting his focus to money matters when he leaves your relationship sector on the 14th July. Throughout the year there will be plenty of opportunities to get things up to speed on the home and professional fronts, with the underlying theme to anything needing to be a strong reliance and trust in your inner voice and instincts. Let’s face it, not all years are created equal and there are good and bad years. Good and bad years can be created because the conditions impacting you directly or because of the conditions in general. Sometimes that leads you to situations where your personal conditions are good but the general conditions aren’t or vice versa, creating a mixed bag and other times you get the worst of both, a bad year for your personal conditions in a bad year as far as the general conditions are concerned. Unfortunately that’s been the case for the last few years, creating a lot of pressure, tension and challenges, but all the while providing more benefits and resilience than you realised, especially on the professional front. However, the gods are smiling on you this year and while in previous years you’ve had the double whammy in a negative way, you get it in a positive way this year, with the conditions on the personal and general front’s ideal. What you have this year is a powerful year for both personal and professional networking and from the 26th June onwards one of your most important relationship years in over a decade, with lucky Jupiter in your relationship sector from June 2013 to July 2014. In the meantime, while it may seem that things on the work front have become stalled or that you’re under work pressure in the early weeks of the year, this is more a hangover from 2012’s tensions and any hold up will ease when Jupiter turns direct in your work sector on the 31st January. The most auspicious months for work matters, opportunities and for realising that you really do have luck on your side are May and June, when everything will come together. It’s towards the end of the year that the love gods have something special, for with Jupiter in your relationship sector from June 2013 to July 2014 he’ll be here when from the 5th December 2013 to the 6th March 2014 Venus, planet of love makes her longest visit to your sign in over 200 years. While personal matters will dominate in the later part of the year and professional matters in the middle months, money matters will be at the forefront in the early days of the year. For the first time in 13 years you’ll move into the New Year with Mars in your income sector and for the first time since 1994 the Moon in your financial sector, with a chance to get your income situation up to speed and exploit as much potential as possible in the first 2 months of the year. Without a doubt 2013 is one of your most important and powerful professional years on record, more because of the many different themes that come together making the whole greater than the sum of its parts. Saturn, spending his first full year in your career sector since 1984 is joined by the North Node, who is here for the first time since 1994 but is spending his first full year here since 1976. The last time that the North Node was able to give things a clear sense of direction and to bring the element of fate into play, especially during the eclipses this triggers, a lunar eclipse on the 26th April and a solar eclipse on the 4th November, was 17 years ago. The last time that Saturn was here to provide the strength, determination and resilience to stay the course, giving you the power to move mountains if you have to was 29 years ago, while the last time they were together was briefly, for a few days in 1956. Yet it’s the fact that for the first time in your lifetime you’re moving into the New Year with Neptune in your income sector and that here until 2026 he’s also formed a strong relationship with career forces and that lucky Jupiter will return to your work sector on the 26th June, kicking off your luckiest year on the work front in decades, takes this to a whole new level. Apart from Neptune you have had different parts of what makes this year exceptional at different points in the past, but never all together at the same time. Yet if you think that this will make this a year that is all work and no play then think again, with Jupiter not leaving the most romantic, creative and playful part of your chart until the 26th June. This makes the first half of the year and especially May and June some of the most important months in over a decade for all things romantic and creative, for matters of the heart and for some anything to do with children or even babies! You have an extremely exciting year ahead of you, with almost anything you set your mind to within your grasp. For the first time in 13 years you’re moving into the New Year with Mars, planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos in your sign, with a chance to embrace this New Year with passion, stamping your name all over it from Day 1. After some very tough years you have finally arrived at a year you can enjoy and simply embrace. The real winners this year are the 3 waters signs and whether you’re a Pisces, Cancer or Scorpio you all benefit from the powerful forces in play on each front. With Saturn spending the whole year in Scorpio, ruler of your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies and your ruling planet his first full year in your sign, in your lifetime and Jupiter returning to Cancer, ruler of your romantic and creative sector on the 26th June, this makes this a year for following your dreams, your heart and a sense of adventure. Yet even more important than what you do have is what you don’t have. For the first time since 2008 Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos won’t show up in your financial sector and it will be decades before he and his financial challenges return. What you also don’t have is the 8 months Mars spent in your relationship sector last year and the personal and/or relationship tension this created. However, what you do have is the benefits gained from having to raise the bar, without having to relive the challenges again. This makes 2013 one of the best years you’ve encountered in decades, with the right conditions coming together at the right time, to take away some of the seriousness and the responsibilities of the past, with a chance to make up for lost time. You’ll still retain your edge, especially on the financial and professional fronts. With a lot of planetary activity in your career sector in the later months of 2012, which will spill into the early days of 2013, the Moon in your work sector for the first time while you move into the New Year since 1994 and a Full Moon here on the 27th January, you’ll have a professional edge from the get go. With March and April the most lucrative months of the year on the income front, it won’t be long before you start to see the benefits from this head start. The first half of the year and especially May and June are especially good months for home, family and or property matters, which is when anything you’ve been working towards is likely to come together.
