Trust Your Eyes, is a must-read thriller by #1 International Bestselling author Linwood Barclay.

Ray Killbride, a freelance illustrator and all-round ordinary guy, has just returned to his family home after the unexpected death of his father, to take care of his father’s affairs and find a solution for the problem that is his mentally ill brother. While dealing with his father’s estate, Ray inexplicably finds himself being pulled into his brother’s strange and it seems, dangerous, world.

Thomas Killbride, Ray’s brother, is a housebound schizophrenic who believes he is working for the CIA. His mission? To memorise every map in the world so that when disaster strikes and all the online maps disappear, he can help agents get where they need to be with the power of his memory. Thomas spends every waking moment locked in his bedroom traveling the world by clicking through (think Google Earth).

When Thomas unwittingly witnesses what looks to be a murder in the window of a New York apartment building, he sets in motion a startling chain of events that puts him, and his brother, in a world of danger, and might even cost him his life.

Linwood Barclay has a wonderful way of creating heroes out of everyday people, and the characters in this book are no exception. Trust Your Eyes is a great book, with a complex and fast paced storyline. Barclay delivers in abundance when it comes to intrigue and just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, he delivers another twist in the road to keep you guessing.

If you enjoy a good crime or thriller story, then Linwood Barclay is definitely an author to take a look at.
