Lana Del Rey is a hippy chic ultra modern diva for Madame Figaro’s latest issue as photographed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino. The 60’s inspired photoshoot sees her personal stylist Johnny Blueeyes – described as a character straight out of the 1980s London underground (mini-peak punk, ringed fingers and nails painted black, yellow, green) keeps her laughing on set.
Inside she talks about her old party girl ways and her new passion of working with a foundation to help homeless people:
“Music was my passion, but my work with this foundation was more important, she summarizes. I myself had the chance to be in a neat establishment, surrounded by people devotees. Helping others was my turn, I found more than identity: a family.”
Wanting to be like Angelina Jolie:
“I want to become a sort of Angelina Jolie says she. Like her, I think the notoriety is nothing in itself, but it can be put in the service of ambition – reaping money, for example. Today, I spend less time at the foundation, but last July we opened two centers, one in New York and one in Los Angeles, and create a think tank dedicated to sustainable development and eco-innovation . Sell discs is inseparable from my commitment. This gives another dimension.”
