There’s something so romantic about cherry blossom trees – whether it’s the pure white blooms, or the soft scent they release with the breeze, cherry blossom trees have become the stuff of romantic legends. To sweep you off your feet, L’Occitane have just released their new Limited Edition Spring Cherry Collection.
The collection has captured the giddiness of spring with the scent of cherry blossoms blended into vibrant notes of mandarin, magnolia and elegant iris. The collection’s scent is fresh, sweet and ultra feminine, light enough for day-to-day wear.
The collection includes a new Eau de Toilette (50mL RRP$50) which holds and gorgeous bouquet of scents. It opens with bright notes of citrus and blackcurrant, before settling into the soft sensuality of the florals. The combination of cherry blossom, magnolia and freesia soften the scent before it deepens into a woody, musky base. The scent is not as girlish as might have been expected, as the woodier base notes help to make the scent more mature and elegant. The light fragrance lingers wonderfully on the skin without being overpowering.
The collection also includes an Iridescent Shower Gel (250mL RRP$28) that cleanses and illuminates the skin, to be followed by the Velvet Moisturising Gel (205mL RRP$39). The gel is lovely and lightweight, unlike many body moisturisers. It feels refreshing on the skin, making it a perfect companion straight after an early shower. It soaks into the skin quickly and leaves the skin soft and sweetly scented. However, if you’re looking for serious hydration, the gel isn’t all that moisturising and you’ll want to supplement it with a different body butter.
The collection also includes a soft, moisturising hand cream (30mL RRP$12) for protecting your overworked hands and nails, and a plant-based soap (50g RRP$5) that comes in the most adorable butterfly shape.
The collection is available now at L’Occitane stores or L’Occitane online: www.loccitane.com.au.
