Pétale Noir, the seductive new fragrance from Agent Provocateur is being launched in Australia and it promises to bring a touch of passion to your day and features Paz de la Huerta as the face of the fragrance campaign.
Pétale Noir captures of passion – dark, dangerous and raw, blended with beauty and allure – a stunning rose with the sting of thorns. The fragrance is a deep floral, with oriental undertones, combining the scents of luxurious oils with a romantic bouquet of florals, surrounded by the simmering heart of forbidden thoughts below.
The scent opens with the bright and undeniably feminine notes of mandarin, water lily and magnolia. This unfolds into the heart of the fragrance – the woman going in for the kill with the romantic and sultry notes of rose absolute, ylang ylang and neroli. Finally, the perfume settles into a fiery soul with the blend of ginger, cedarwood, sandalwood laid over the warmth of musk, vetiver, leather and amber.
The scent is surprisingly sweet, and has a tendency to take on an almost artificial scent. That does dissipate but the fragrance is still very light and feminine. It would make a lovely day time scent, light enough that it won’t overwhelm you.
Perhaps the best thing about this fragrance is its gorgeous bottle – the teardrop bottle comes in a stunning dusky pink, with golden rose garlands climbing up the bottle. The black chain around the bottle’s neck serves as a reminder that every sweet smile can hide a deep, sensuous passion.
Available now in 30ml EDP ($69), 50ml (RRP $99), 100ml (RRP $129) and a luxurious body elixir (RRP $59) from David Jones.
