We’ve all been waiting for it and it’s been worth the wait, here’s our first look at Beyoncé for H&M’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2013 campaign. Photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in Nassau, Bahamas, while the commercial was directed by Jonas Åkerlund and features a new Beyoncé track, “Standing on the Sun.”
Beyoncé shared: “It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.” “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”
H&M reports that Beyoncé also had a hand in designing looks in the collection which will feature “the perfect body-con dress,” a beach gown slashed to the thigh, high-waist shorts and a sleeveless shirt.
The collection titled, “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M,” will be available in stores and online starting in May.
