Once again, I’ve decided to do a little round up for you of what’s new out this month and we have a lovely mix of some must have goodies from Dior, Benefit, Elizabeth Arden, Essie & People for Plants. So let’s not waste anymore time, here’s the lowdown.
First up we have Dior’s updated Abricot Manicure 2013 Collection. The Dior Abricot Collection has been in existence since 1963 and has legendary status in the beauty nail circles and has been released this year as an updated formula including ingredients of argan, camellia and of course it’s namesake oil apricot.
Our favourite pick is the Huile Abricot Daily Serum (RRP$47), a refined daily oil treatment for the nails. The Abricot Daily Serum smooths and strengthens nails, as well as hydrating the cuticles leaving no oily residue. Gliding on easily (don’t squeeze the tube too hard or you’ll end up with enough for both hands on one nail like I did!), the lightweight serum absorbs easily into your nails as you massage it lightly in leaving the nails smelling delicious and immediately hydrated.
Also available in the updated collection is the legendary product “Creme Abricot” (RRP$47). This little iconic round pot of goodness encourages nail growth. The French Manicure Expert Pen (RRP$41), helps you create that expert professional “French Manicure” that we all covert. Use the extreme felt tip pen to obtain an accurate, clear white line along the tip of the nail. The final three nail products in the collection include; Abricot Base Coat, Diorlisse Abricot The Nude Perfector (two colours Pétale de Rose and Rose des Neiges) and Abricot Top Coat The Shine Shield (RRP$39 ea).
Available now nationally at your nearest Dior Counter.
Next up we have two new releases from Elizabeth Arden; the Limited Edition Iconic Eight Hour Cream Collection and some delicious new seasonal colours from the new Beautiful Colour Collection for Lips.
The Limited Edition Iconic Eight Hour Cream Collection packaging has been inspired by the latest fashion trends of modern colour blocking and on-trend seasonal hues. The two limited edition products include; the Eight Hour cream Skin Protectant (50mL RRP$19.50) and the Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick with SPF Sunscreen (3.7gm RRP$19.50). The Award Winning Eight Hour Cream helps to soothe, restore, calm and help relieve chapped, cracked or dry skin as must have for every women’s dressing table or handbag. The Lip Treatment Stick helps moisturise, soften and smooth your lips. Enriched with emollients, sunscreen and vitamin E.
Elizabeth Arden have added some luscious new colours to their Beautiful Colour Collection of Lipsticks (RRP$35) and Lip Liners (RRP$28). The new shades have been specially created by Elizabeth Arden’s Global Makeup Artist, Rebecca Restrepo, with a balance of both classic and trend driven shades to complement all skin tones and styles. The NEW Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipsticks feature hydrating, silky pigments in just one stroke. The moisture enriched pigments provide beautiful long lasting colour. The lipsticks are embossed with the Red Door logo emblem and housed in a sleek gold tube with the signature Red Door design. With 21 Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick Shades to choose from; whether you’re looking for bold, playful colors, an everyday go-to shade, or a timeless red, you’ll find one that you love. The colours are also available in three finishes: cream, shimmer, and pearl.
Rebecca Recommends: “Start in the center of the lip and glide color to the outer corners, following the natural line of the mouth. Evenly fill in lips, using all angles of the bullet, for maximum conditioning benefits and long lasting wear.”
The new Beautiful Color Precision Glide Lip Liner treats lips to rich, hydrating color that won’t flake, feather or fade for 12 hours. Each creamy pencil glides on to define and contour lips while enhancing their natural shape. These highly pigmented lip liners are available in seven fashion-forward shades ranging from nudes and subtle pinks to warm browns and vivid berries.
Rebecca Recommends: “Apply liner to the cupid’s bow on your upper lip in an “x” shape. Then draw half-moons on the sides of the “x” to round the lips. For the rest of your upper and bottom lips, apply liner starting from the outside corners of the mouth and move up and towards the center. This upward motion makes your mouth look fuller and wider.”
Our pick of colours include; Power Red (01) Pink Punch (30).
