If you are hankering to experience a tropical holiday or even hit the beautiful islands of Fiji this festive season? Well I’m here to tell you, you can without even leaving home, I swear you will be transported as soon as you open these little beauty goodies fresh from Suva, Fiji. The Pure Fiji Skin and Body Care Collections will see you joining a plethora of celebrity fans such as; Nicole Kidman, Claudia Schiffer, Rachael Hunter, Britney Spears, Ashlee and Jessica Simpson and Kate Winslet who are big fans.
Featuring my favourite product that I ingest daily, Coconut Oil which is why I got excited when I found out about Pure Fiji. The brand – founded in 1995 – have been using Extra Virgin Coconut Oil as the base ingredient of their products since they began, and also include Exotic Nut Oils: Dilo, Sekeci and Macadaemia who have their own saturated fats of goodness for the skin.
The complete range is huge, it covers skin, body and hair so you can literally dip yourself into tropical goodness. I’ve been using the exquisite Coconut Infusion Body Butter (RRP$29.95 235mL), and the richly luxurious butter is super hydrating and uses a blend of exotic nuts and passionflower combined with fresh coconut milk. It is a touch greasy but my goodness, it’s so delicious and scentalicious and does soak in after a few minutes on the skin. It’s the perfect after-sun care from a day at the beach or cocktails poolside! Pure indulgence! And as a little tip, perfect for hands and feet when you’re heading off to bed!
I’ve also been using the Purifying Cleanser, Exfoliating Scrub and Perfecting Body Lotion and once again scented heavenly (for me a touch too strong as you know I’m used to unscented products on my face). The Purifying Cleanser (RRP$34.95 200mL) is a gentle cleanser derived from sugar cane extracts and is boosted with papaya extracts to brighten skin tone while passionflower and drift nut extracts restore skin to a healthy balance. I don’t wear a stack of make up so the light cream cleanser worked a treat removing my make up quickly and easily without leaving my skin feeling dry or stripped of it’s natural oils. I think if I wore heavier make up I would revert to one of my thicker creams. This cleanser is the perfect accompaniment for my morning shower routine.
Next up is the Exfoliating Scrub (RRP$34.95 120mL), which refreshes and brightens the skin as it gently exfoliates away the dead skin cells using the power of Pineapple and Papaya enzymes alongside vitamin-rich coconut crème which makes it high in anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids of Omega 3 and 6. This is perfect for the morning shower routine, excitingly you can use the exfoliator with a Clarisonic and certainly works a treat. Once again, it smells divine but a little strong for me but no break-outs from the products have occurred.
And finally the Perfecting Body Lotion (RRP$49.95 200mL) that hydrates the skin with a nourishing blend of exotic nut extracts with Beach Almond Hydrosol combined with fresh Coconut Milk which I accidentally used on my face but it’s light enough to not create a reaction. I’d use this as my everyday body lotion and the body butter at night for those days spent outdoors so that the skin is richly nourished overnight.
As a little side note, Pure Fiji promote and provide training in the use of Direct Micro Expulsion (DME) in the rural communities that produce their raw ingredients. DME has allowed Pure Fiji’s suppliers to extract the oils needed on a commercial level through the process of Cold Pressing which allows the preservation of natural vitamins, nutrients and essential fatty acids.
