Delicious New Skin Care Products from Jurlique, L’Occitane and Olay

Jurlique, L’Occitane and Olay have some new products that have just hit our shelves that you need to know about. Jurlique’s Calendular Redness Rescue Range, L’Occitane’s Verveine Collection and Shea Flowers of Love Collection and Olay’s new Fresh Effects Skin Care collection. So let’s have a look shall we?

JURLIQUE_CALENDULA_Products

First up we have Jurlique’s Calendula Redness Rescue Range, created to help soothe skin sensitivity and is enriched with the aromatic benefits of Cucumber and Chamomile to help refresh and uplift the senses.. Comprising of three core products; Calming Mist (100mL RRP$55), Restorative Treatment Serum (30mL RRP$80) and Soothing Moisturising Cream (40mL RRP$50 and 100mL RRP$85).

Jurlique use a three step process of Calming (Mist), Restoring (Serum) and Soothing (Cream) the skin all using the key ingredient of Calendular, of course, grown on Jurlique’s biodynamic farm!  I love mists and I always love using Jurlique’s mists, the Calendular Calming Mist featuring Aloe and Linseed extracts to help restore moisture and skin clarity, while the aroma of fresh cucumber and chamomile uplifts the senses leaving the skin feeling refreshed.  The Restorative Treatment Serum is a gel concentrate featuring Prickly Pear Extract (Opuntia Ficus Indica) helps to provide hydration and soothing benefits leaving the skin feeling hydrated. The Moisturising Cream features the ingredients of Evening Primrose, Macadamia, Rose Hip and Avocado Oils rich in essential fatty acids providing hydration and skin barrier protection benefits. The fragrance is very fresh and earthy, quite different to some of Jurlique’s other scents. As usual the three step process is simple and easy for those hectic mornings trying to get out the door. The Serum and Moisturiser soak into the skin, immediately hydrating and soothing the skin.

Next we have two new collections from L’Occitane, the Verveine(s) Collection and the Shea Flowers of Love Collection.

L'Occitane_Verveine_Collection_Original

L’Occitane’s Verveine Collection is inspired by the new harvest of fresh Verbena lovingly grown by Remy Margiela, producer of fragrant plants in the Drôme Provençale Région. The collection features three delicious scents (100mL EDT RRP$70); Green Citrus Verbena, Aromatic Citrus Mint Verbena and Fruity Citrus Verbena all enriched with an organic verbena extract.

The Green Citrus Verbena scent features the invigorating notes of; orange, lemon, verbena, petitgrain, rose and geranium.  Mint Verbena scent features notes of; lime, grapefruit, verbena, spearmint, peppermint, white wood and musk. The Citrus Verbena scent features notes of; lemon, grapefruit, verbena and cedar.  The three scented collections are available in a variety of products such as; fragrances, hand cream, mist, body lotion, shower gel, and bath salts.

L'Occitane_Shea_Flowers_of_Love_Products

The Limited Edition Shea Flowers of Love Collection celebrates the company’s love story with the women of Burkina Faso, an ongoing partnership that has existed since the early 1980’s, where L’Occitane purchase the shea butter directly from the community.

The Shea Flowers of Love Collection is inspired by the ‘notion of giving.’ In Africa, people convey their feelings of love by giving a beaded jewel to their loved one and in Wsetern culture the giving of flowers is a common form of expressing love.

Using three flowers from the Mediterranean; Rose Tenderness, Subtle Violet and Passionate Jasmine, the collection is available in a Limited Edition Hand Cream (150mL RRP$39 & 30mL RRP$12), Lip Balm (15mL RRP$14) Rich Body Cream (100mL RRP$32) and Solidarity Soap (50gm RRP$5).

Olay_Fresh_Effects_Campaign

Finally we have a fun and fresh new skin care range from Olay the Fresh Effects Collection that also includes a BB Cream.  The Fresh Effects collection features citrus extracts to awaken and refresh your skin, with flower essences to hydrate and nourish your skin for women aged between 18-30.

The Fresh Effects collection consists of five lightweight, oil-free products; The Powered Contour Cleansing System (RRP$16.99), Shine Minimising Cleanser (150mL RRP$14.49), Exfoliating Cleanser (150mL RRP$14.49), Satin Finish Lotion (150mL RRP$16.99) and Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturiser (BB Cream) with SPF15 (50mL RRP$16.99).

Favourite product from the range would be the BB Cream, it’s a lovely lightweight formula, very much like a tinted moisturiser as they promote it to be. It slips onto the skin seamlessly with no added oils adding a light touch of colour which is perfect for the summer months for a natural sun-kissed look.  The Exfoliating Cleanser is a rich cream base with minimal amount of exfoliating beads which does an fine job of cleaning but a bit light on the exfoliating. The Shine Minimizing Cleanser is a thick silvery cream that lathers up well and you don’t need a lot of to spread the cleansing love around.  My only issue with the two cleansers are the high scent factor, I’m always banging on about being sensitive to scents, although there were no breakouts I found them a little bit drying on my skin and the scent just too strong. If you are traveling the Contour Cleansing System is perfect to pack in your bag for those short trips, it’s hard for the teeny tiny brush cleanser to compete with a Clarisonic so I won’t go there.

Olay’s Fresh Effects has teamed up with the international hit model search show, The Face to find their new ambassador who will show girls around Australia how to get skin so fresh it needs #nofilter. Three teams of four girls mentored by supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cheyenne Tozzi & Nicole Trunfio will compete over eight episodes to land the covetable ambassadorship.
