Takashi Murakami will be launching another collection with Louis Vuitton,  entitled Cosmic Blossom.  The new collection features Murakami’s superflat artwork printed on Louis Vuitton pieces in three vibrant colours ; Rose, Bleu and Violet on leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories.

The campaign features Daisy Lowe photographed in Miami;

“Louis Vuitton is an amazingly well made, classic, chic and beautiful brand…I have been a huge fan of Takashi Murakami work for a long time, his work with Louis Vuitton is so playful and exciting,” says Daisy.

The collection will be available at Louis Vuitton stores from April 15, 2010.

Am totally loving Lydia Jewel’s new campaign images for her Jewel of the Night collection, her third accessories collection to date and it’s a gem, hehe pardon the pun!

Lydia is renowned for her vintage-inspired pieces, which include bridal collections and bespoke items, and this season we see her fusing her signature old Hollywood glamour with striking Asian culture.

Influenced by a recent sojourn to Thailand, Jewel of the Night’s pieces include rosary bead necklaces, elegant drop earrings and on-trend chunky bracelets, crafted from Swarovski crystals and semi-precious stones including Amber, Onyx and Pink Quartz. And exciting news for Lydia, she took top prize for Best Accessory Designer in the recent 2Threads Fashion Awards, and her jewellery was chosen by Australian singer Jessica Mauboy to complete her red carpet look.

Before I went on holidays to Queensland I teetered down to see Betts Shoes’ Autumn/Winter 2010 preview collection and these shoes caught my eye, Gorgette purple heel from the Velvet Luxe collection!  Aren’t they just gorgeous?

Anyway, I’m exclusively revealing the ad campaign images for Betts Shoes’ Autumn/Winter 2010 collection and a few of their on-trend shoes that should be hitting stores now.

Luxe materials and styling are the focus of Betts new Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. Velvet, suede and exotic embellishments will feature across the range of shoes and handbags creating a new textural style for this season.

Pumps and booties are embellished with key fashion detailing allowing you to make a statement with studs, zips and buckle features. Boots are a must have and over the knee styles will dominate keeping you warm for winter and in style.

While black remains a staple for winter, the new nude, taupe will be everywhere, adding leg lengthening appeal to your favourite outfit.

Betts have identified four key looks for women this season across their advertising campaign which is a new direction for the brand:

1. Velvet Luxe: Set the mood with opulence this winter. This look is all about luxe materials such as velvets and suedes in rich and neutral tones
2. Warrior goddess: Add a real edge to your outfit with studded embellishments
3. Pretty tough: It’s all about zips and buckles
4. The New Nude: Embrace fashion’s softer side in tones of café au lait.

It was announced last year that Britney Spears would once again be the face of Candie’s Only at Kohl’s and this time Candies enlisted Annie Leibovitz, Terry Richardson and Mark Seliger to photograph Britney and this is what they came up with. Britney was photographed separately by all three photographers on the same day, at the Paramount Studios lot in Hollywood.

Her previous ad campaign images were not given an enthusiastic welcome (I’ve added a collage pic for you) so these are definitely better.  And apparently Britney resonates with the “Candie’s girl,” and so the brand is changing its usual strategy of introducing a new spokesmodel each year. Past campaigns have featured Fergie, Hilary Duff and Jenny McCarthy. “It’s hard to pinpoint whether the sales are from marketing or pricing but it was one of our best years,” Marder noted of 2009.

There are also hints that more is to come in the second half with Britney but, unlike last year, it won’t be related to a concert tour.

The UK Daily Mail gives us a sneak peak today at Kylie’s upcoming ad campaign for TOUS, the Spanish Fashion & Accessories brand that she is the face of! In the upcoming campaign, Kylie poses as a magician chopping herself into bits as she advertises TOUS handbags.

On the 9th Feb Kylie tweeted: ‘Hello peeps!! Am in the middle of photo-shoot for the next Tous campaign, photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth. It’s all about…*m*a*g*i*c!!!

I posted her gorgeous ad campaign in June 2009 and squealed with glee over it and then at Christmas I posted a Christmas message from her and TOUS.

Kylie is the perfect brand ambassador and I just love them, so fun and girlie which means they’re Sassi!  Can’t wait to see the complete campaign.

Last season Karen Walker eyewear was all about ‘celebrating the sun‘, this season we see Karen Walker pay tribute to the ‘Sun Gods‘, photographed in NYC  by Derek Kettela.

With 35 pieces to the collection channeling the Statue of Liberty, the collection will be launched at New York Fashion Week with Karen’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection on 13th February.

The range includes new interpretations of the metal silhouettes that were introduced last season with styles like The Prisoner, Escape and Agent- all featuring glass lenses to provide maximum clarity.

This is the 5th year for Karen Walker eyewear and the range will be stocked in international department stores and selected fashion boutiques in over 15 countries including new stockists in Russia and the Middle East from mid-February.

As much as I love them, the fashion seasons can be very, very frustrating. With the exception of our own fashion week, usually what we see coming off the catwalks is about a year away from being relevant on Aussie shores. Which is why, I love finding a trend within the upcoming seasons, that can be easily adapted in the now, so help satiate our fashion cravings.

In last year’s Spring/Summer 2010 shows the Proenza Schouler was easily one of my top three shows. Aside from the hair and make-up, I adored the little dashes of neon colour throughout the collection…

Visual cue:

Alright, I’ll concede that this is not exactly a “dash” it’s more an all out drenching, but I love this look from the show, I simply couldn’t skip it. The shoes, however, illustrate my point with their little dashes of neon.

While we’re waiting for the SS10 items to be available (whilst also pretending we can afford it when it is), I’ll be cracking out one of these Ice-Watches. Check out these turbo flouro watches – they remind me of Baby Gs, but for grown-ups (who dig a big of brightness).
